Textbook sources, indexing and exact question addresses

Make chapter, exercise and question references point to the correct book page.

For: Teacher, Centre Manager, Super Admin

Look for: Textbook sources

  1. Select a supported official source for an offered course and import it. Downloading queues page indexing; wait for the result and inspect the extracted text.
  2. Search pages and compare them with the original PDF. Digital text may extract directly; scanned or broken pages may need OCR or careful manual transcription before they are usable.
  3. Use Reindex to create a new index version. Manual index requires physical PDF page order, including covers and blank pages, separated using the page marker shown on the form.
  4. Create/review question addresses with chapter, exercise, question and subpart. Add the student-facing question text and link it to the correct physical page.
  5. Use the adoption control for reviewed textbook questions where available, then validate and publish. A label such as Q3 is meaningful only with its book/course and exercise.
  6. New editions need a fresh source/import and reviewed links. There is no universal automatic yearly download of every board and subject.
