Assign work, homework, quiz or mock test
Choose published questions from the learner’s active course.
For: Teacher, Centre Manager, Super Admin
Look for: Assign work · Assigned work
- Teachers and authorised centre staff open Assign work. Choose one or more students and press Apply filters / find activities to load their courses. Choose a course and optionally a chapter or practice group, then apply filters again. The course list follows the selected recipients; there is no separate browse-student selection.
- For a group, courses from the selected students are listed once. Preview work checks each student's placement and plan and explains who is not ready. Changing course clears the previous chapter and practice-group filters. If no questions match, try All question statuses and All chapters before checking the published content.
- The activity selector shows up to 60 questions per page. Previous activities and Next activities buttons appear above the form and below the activity list, with the current page and total pages. For example, use Next activities below question 60 to see the next page. Student, course, chapter and practice-group filters are retained. Choose the page before filling in the assignment; changing page clears unsaved selections and assignment details.
- Choose a title and experience: Activity, Assignment, Homework, Mock test or Quiz, listed alphabetically. The experience must be selected explicitly. Activity appears under Fun activities for learners. Select guided practice or an independent check.
- Choose the published activities, optional due date and optional time limit. Zero minutes means untimed. The recipients come from the student selection above. Press Preview work, inspect each recipient and confirm the ready students.
- Use Assigned work to open the assignment, inspect its status and see the learner’s attempts. Return submitted work for another attempt when appropriate.
- To change saved work from Homework to Activity, open Assigned work → the work → Edit work. Choose Activity and press Save work type. Admins and staff allowed to update that learner can do this, including after work has started or been submitted. Questions, answers, feedback, mode, timers and submission status are preserved. Single-submission tests must keep Quiz or Mock test; create a new mock test through Assign work to enable its rules. The type change is recorded in the audit history. If another teacher changes the type while the form is open, reload before saving.
- Before the student starts the assignment, Edit work also lets you change its course and question selection. Choose an active student course with a saved placement and plan, press Find questions for this course, select the replacement questions and press Save course and selected questions. The previous selection is retained in audit history.
- Once a single-submission test starts, all its questions are fixed. For other work, once work has started, its course is fixed. In Edit work → Questions in this plan, remove an untouched question with Remove this question. Opened questions and questions with answers, help, voice or other recorded activity are protected. For older work, the first question and recorded activity are protected. Keep at least one question. Return submitted work before changing its remaining questions. Removing a question hides it from the learner's remaining steps and preserves every stored record and other progress. Teachers can expand Previous question selections in the editor to see the retained list.
- Only work from the correct published curriculum can be selected. Set a placement and plan first if the page has no eligible questions.
- Start a monitoring session separately. Teachers should choose any sample/demo assignment intentionally; the app does not automatically fill a real centre with synthetic work.
