Students & plans: placement, goals and support

1. Open the learner and choose the course under Courses and individual plans. The centre must offer that course and have a usable curriculum release.
2. Set placement using the correct board/course, class/level, medium and release. School registration and learning placement are separate.
3. Publish a plan revision with a clear goal, explanation language, allowed hints (0 to 5; the default is 3) and reviewed teaching guidance. Banks with five prepared clues deliver them only up to the plan's allowance, and the AI tutor and live voice receive the same number of prepared clues as the text clue button. An independent check, a closed sitting and a removed or unpublished question share no prepared clues through any of the three. Keep private family/health information out of guidance that can inform AI.
4. Use Language, voice and reading support for accessibility and AI permissions. Use the time extension and image allowance controls on the learner page when permitted.
5. Changing one course’s plan does not replace another subject’s plan. Existing assigned work keeps its original curriculum version.
6. Plan the next activity using skill evidence. Automatic weekly/monthly timetable generation and attendance-based rescheduling are not a completed general planner; a teacher should carry unfinished work forward and adjust deadlines or return work.
