Centre progress, goals and period reports

1. Centre Managers and admins with access to all students open Centre progress for the whole centre. Teachers see only their authorised students. Attendance-only accounts cannot open these reports. Suspended accounts remain visible with automatic learning checks and learning reminders paused; authorised staff can still measure, extend or close their goals. Deleted accounts are excluded from the centre overview.
2. For a first review, keep Compare to set to today, choose a course and set Follow-up to Any follow-up, then Apply filters. Open a student's name to inspect the evidence. Staff with update permission can use Assign work or Set / review goal for the next step. Help with centre progress and Help reading this report open this guide from the report screens.
3. Choose comparison dates, up to 366 days apart (367 dates including both ends) and no later than today. Use school term dates for a start-of-term comparison. Filter by student name or account code, class, course, assigned teacher and follow-up needed.
4. Overview has one row per student and course that still allows existing work, including archived courses set to continue. Students without such a course remain visible with a course-needed explanation. Stopped or withdrawn courses stay in individual staff history. The report separates the current teacher placement and learning plan from measured learning steps, points and independent answers.
5. Overview puts rows with a follow-up flag first. Staff who can update that student get direct Assign work and Set / review goal links on active-course rows; view-only staff can open the plan and evidence without being offered actions they cannot complete. On a phone, rows become readable cards instead of a wide table. Open Evidence details when you need dates and marked-answer counts.
6. Follow-up filters find missing plans or placements, no active measurable goal, goals needing attention, insufficient or old independent evidence, decreased points, no active assigned teacher and open teacher reviews. Only active teacher and admin accounts count as current assigned teachers; choose Unassigned to find learners without one. Review counts cover the whole student and may repeat across course rows. These flags need teacher judgement; they do not diagnose a learner or predict exam results.
7. Goals shows current targets, starting values, latest saved checks and due dates. The default list puts active goals first, then goals missed within the last 30 days. Older missed goals remain under All goals or Not reached by the due date, without adding permanent attention warnings. Other filters show due within seven days, overdue, reached, closed, paused learners or active goals needing an evidence check. Dates in the comparison filter do not reconstruct old goal states. Open a listed goal to see that exact goal in the student's plan, including older entries beyond the usual 20-item history. You can measure now, extend a due date or close an active or missed goal with a reason if you have update permission.
8. Groups counts students, student courses, evidence coverage, comparable points and follow-up by current class, assigned teacher or course. Points up, same and down count student courses with comparable evidence. A learner assigned to two teachers appears in both teacher groups. Do not add these groups or average different courses into a centre score.
9. Export filtered student courses or goals as CSV. Exports include all filtered rows, not just the current page of 50. Groups exports the underlying student-course rows. Downloads are audited with the selected filters and learner references; free-text search names and codes are not kept in that audit. They contain learner information; share only with authorised recipients.
10. Open a student's Progress over time / parent report, choose one enrolled course, comparison dates and Show this trend, then Show progress. The default follows the current placement when that course still allows existing work. Staff can also choose stopped course history.
11. If the chart has a dashed Goal line, it shows a current target for that measure, even when the comparison dates are in the past. It does not reconstruct an earlier target or predict when the learner will reach it. Open Recorded values and evidence below the chart to inspect the samples behind each recording.
12. The student's webpage hides measures with no recorded learner evidence and explains when none can be shown. A recorded zero with learner evidence remains visible. The staff report and its printed family copy show all measures, including missing-evidence explanations. Staff CSV exports keep all recorded measures.
13. Existing goals can be measured or extended in archived courses set to continue; new goals and assignments require an active offering. Measurements and extensions require an active enrolment. If today's report is stale, staff with update permission can open Student plan and evidence and choose Measure now under Measured progress, then reopen the report. Earlier report dates remain unchanged.
14. To share a family report, use the browser Print command to print or save it as PDF. Navigation, filters and Earlier goals staff history are hidden. Goals shown are active goals and those reached in the last 30 days on continuing enrolments. Check the student, course and dates before sharing with authorised recipients. Export daily evidence downloads all measures recorded for the selected course and period, not only the chosen chart measure.

Reports read saved nightly measurements; they do not run a new assessment. Each comparison searches up to 366 days before its date for the latest recording. Change requires sufficient evidence, the current measure definition, equal evidence windows and recordings within two days of both dates. Missing evidence is not zero, and a newer insufficient result never falls back to an old success. The teacher's Last recorded column includes today's saved result. Change since earlier day compares live Now with the most recent earlier-day recording and shows that date, so saving today does not replace the comparison baseline.

Most values describe rolling 28-day windows, not totals between the report dates. Skills count evidence since the course began. Games, team quiz scores and conversations are not included in these measures. Changes can reflect different questions or older work leaving the window. Faster answers do not by themselves mean better understanding.

Names, enrolments, plans, classes, teacher assignments and goals are current. Measurements retain their recorded dates. Reports cannot recreate progress before recording began or reconstruct past rosters. There is no automatic prediction of whether a goal will be achieved.
