Set confidential hourly rates and pay caps

Save dated staff terms without rewriting earlier rates or paid periods.

For: Teacher, Centre Manager, Super Admin, Attendance & payroll staff

Look for: Rates & pay caps

  1. Select a heading to sort names, effective dates, rates or caps on this page. Sorting keeps unsaved edits with their person; you still need Save pay terms. Rates and caps across different cycles are not added together.
  2. A Super Admin or Payroll Manager opens Rates & pay caps. Payroll Viewers can read but cannot save. Another authorised person must set your own terms.
  3. Enter the effective start, hourly rate in rupees, optional maximum pay, pay cycle and year start. Leave the maximum blank for no cap; zero means no suggested payout. Each row saves independently with a reason.
  4. Start terms on the first day of the pay cycle. For a monthly cap, use the first of a month. Weekly cycles start Monday; fixed fortnights repeat every fourteen days from 5 January 2026. Quarter/year cycles follow January or April as selected.
  5. Changes create a new revision. You can correct unconsumed terms at the same effective boundary. Once a payment has used a cycle, a new revision must start after that cycle. History remains visible.
  6. Set the person's time method separately in Staff hour defaults. Saving rates does not invent attendance or approve hours.

A report can span several rates and pay cycles. Each attendance day uses the applicable dated terms.
