Set and approve staff hours

For: Teacher, Centre Manager, Super Admin, Attendance & payroll staff

Look for: Staff hour defaults

1. Select a heading to sort the displayed staff or default hours. Sorting does not save or discard edits. Enter a reason and Save hours for each changed row.
2. Centre Managers, Super Admins and Payroll Managers open Staff hour defaults. Choose the method and default hours for each person, give a reason and save the row. Another authorised person must change your own default.
3. Attendance settings can also hold a centre-wide fallback. Staff without their own row then record either arrival/departure times or a centre default number of hours per present day. A personal row always overrides the fallback; both affect new attendance days only.
4. Arrival / departure times adds closed visits and excludes gaps. Enter hours lets an authorised attendance recorder type the hours worked in the staff register. Default hours when present uses the configured hours once per attendance day.
5. In the staff register, expand Edit times / hours / status, choose the method and enter hours where needed. Save with a reason. Bulk Present uses each person's saved default; several logins never multiply that default.
6. Teacher self-recording and ordinary attendance recorders need an eligible reviewer. When the centre turns off second review, a Centre Manager can confirm their own register entries, including their own attendance. Default/entered hours need no checkout and do not prove exact arrival or departure. Student attendance never uses staff defaults.
7. Changing a default affects new attendance days only. Existing attendance and its audit history remain unchanged. To correct a saved day, edit its row and obtain a fresh review.

Attendance permission does not reveal hourly rates or payroll amounts.
