Chapter and question completion, and unassigned-work filters

See each learner's question history and filter new work for one student or a group.

For: Teacher, Centre Manager, Super Admin

  1. Game answers are labelled Game practice, including foundation practice. Open its history to see the answer and support used. Questions opened but unanswered remain unfinished; questions not yet reached in a game do not count as assigned.
  2. Authorised teachers and centre staff open Students & plans → student → Chapter & question progress. Choose the student's course, including archived course history. Before enrolment, an offered course shows its latest published question bank for setup but no learner progress; saving an active enrolment, placement and plan is required before assigning work. Chapter totals for a saved placement cover its current published questions, including work on earlier revisions of the same question; they do not certify full textbook coverage or mastery.
  3. Filter by chapter, question status or text. Sort all results by chapter, question, status or recent activity. Previous/Next preserves the filters. Table headings sort the current page. Open a question's history to see assignments, saved attempts and individual or team quiz participation.
  4. Completed means an activity marked complete, an answer submitted with its work, an accepted quiz answer after reveal, or a checked Game practice answer. Wrong answers and answers awaiting marking can be completed work; their result is shown separately. Submitted work with no answer remains unfinished. Opening an ordinary assignment does not mark every question started; strict tests present the whole paper together. Game practice never submits homework or establishes mastery.
  5. Completion at least once takes priority over later repeat assignments. Also assigned again identifies outstanding repeats. Latest teacher corrections update the recorded result. Removed or cancelled untouched questions become unassigned again; started history stays visible. A withdrawn quiz round does not count as completed. Team quiz practice is labelled and never presented as individual mastery.
  6. In Assign work or Create Quiz Together, choose students in the filters, select Question status and Apply filters. Choose Unassigned for one learner, or Unassigned to everyone selected for a group. Unassigned to some students only means at least one but not everyone. Completed has equivalent everyone/some options. Assigned and In progress match any selected student.
  7. Every chosen recipient receives the selected questions, so a some-students filter can deliberately repeat work for others. Status includes ordinary assignments, Quiz Together and Game practice. Filters and recipients stay selected across pages. Apply changed filters before composing work; assignment details still need to be entered after browsing.
  8. Quiz Together applies the selected status to automatic patterns, custom selections and saved templates. If a template no longer matches, choose another status or selection. Manual assignment previews also recheck the filter. Status can change while students work, so review the preview before confirming.

These screens only read progress; they do not change marks

completion records or student levels.
