Quiz Together — play, host and review

Look for: Quiz Together

1. Teachers and centre administrators open Quiz Together → Create Quiz Together, or Assign work → Start Quiz Together. Choose a course and 1–60 authorised students with matching active placements and learning plans.
2. Use Gentle warm-up, Chapter mix or Revision together to select published practice questions. Choose optional chapters and 1–30 rounds. Templates spread selection across chapters and skills. Missing questions are reported; the app does not generate or invent replacements.
3. Choose my own questions lets you build a quiz from the reviewed bank. Choose students and a question-status filter, then apply it before entering the quiz name and settings; Previous/Next preserves recipients, filters and checked questions. Publish new questions through the existing Question bank workflow first. Only fixed-answer questions with prepared explanations are eligible; essays, proofs, speaking self-checks and reserved assessment questions stay outside live quizzes.
4. Save this question selection as my reusable template keeps it for future quizzes in that course. Your saved templates appear in the builder; administrators can use centre templates. Each new quiz validates availability and placements again. No AI provider calls are needed for question selection, music or marking.
5. Choose Individual or Teams. For teams, enter 2–8 names; distribute students automatically or assign team numbers. Every learner joins using their own account. Any joined teammate can submit the one shared answer; the first accepted submission wins and cannot be replaced. Team results are credited only to members who had joined when the answer was accepted.
6. Correct answers earn 100 points; other answers earn zero, without deduction or elimination. Speed bonuses are off by default. If enabled explicitly, up to 20 extra points are awarded for a correct answer, decreasing to zero during the first 60 seconds after answers open. Equal points are a tie. Individual rankings are never shown to the class; team standings are optional and appear only after reveal.
7. Create quiz lobby pins the question revisions. Review the question list privately, then wait for students to join. Students open Quiz Together → Join / continue → Join Quiz Together. A student can be invited to only one unfinished quiz at a time; finish the earlier quiz to release the invitation.
8. Start reading gives everyone at least 30 seconds, with 60 seconds as the default and up to 300 seconds configured. The teacher opens answers after reading time. Add 30 seconds gives more reading or answering time. Answers remain open until the teacher closes them; allow at least 60 seconds unless all joined students/teams have answered. Reading and answering never advance automatically.
9. Save my answer or Save team answer sends one final answer for that round. Correctness and explanations stay hidden until reveal. Refreshing or reconnecting restores the accepted answer; retrying never replaces it or awards points twice. A connection failure before the server accepts an answer is not a saved answer, so retry while the round remains open.
10. Close answers and explain shows the prepared explanation and each learner's own result. Open classroom display when projecting; the normal teacher page contains a private alphabetical participant list. The classroom display shows no student names or individual rankings. Skip / withdraw excludes an unclear or faulty round from scoring while preserving its answers and the teacher's reason. After finishing, Correct a faulty round can withdraw any scored round; saved progress totals recalculate.
11. Finish quiz and save results preserves accepted answers and reveals the current round if necessary. Unplayed or withdrawn rounds do not count. Results remain under the learner's My progress and My history, and Students & plans for authorised teachers. Team results describe team performance; live quiz exposure prevents the same question from later counting as a fresh independent demonstration. Live practice itself does not certify mastery.
12. Music off → play gentle music starts optional accompaniment on that device only. Adjust Volume or stop it anytime. It is off initially, stops when the tab is hidden and stops for device read-aloud. Device voice can read the question; no AI voice or transcription is required.

Use individual quizzes when you need to see each student's own answer. Team scores are not individual marks.
