Roles, powers and centre scope

Understand Super Admin, Centre Manager, teacher, student and additional attendance responsibilities.

For: Attendance & payroll staff, Student, Teacher, Centre Manager, Super Admin

Look for: My roles & permissions

  1. Open My roles & permissions to see your current account’s real permissions. Managers can click a person in Students & teachers to inspect their roles and scope.
  2. Super Admins appoint administrators and manage centres. A Centre Manager manages students, teachers, course offerings, publication and budgets within their authorised centres.
  3. Teachers normally see assigned students. View-all broadens learning visibility; manage-all also needs view-all. These learning grants do not permit account creation or permanent budget changes. Temporary budget top-ups have a separate Super Admin delegation rule.
  4. Curriculum management permits editing content; publication requires publishing permission. Centre-wide bulk publication is a manager/admin action.
  5. Registration contacts and student sign-in assistance still require a teacher assignment, even with broad learning permissions. Students see only their own learning.
  6. No teacher grant gives administrator powers. Managers cannot manage other managers or Super Admins, change their own scope, or reset credentials shared with another centre.
  7. Attendance responsibilities are separate modules. An existing teacher or manager can also manage registers, approve attendance or download reports. An attendance-only account gets no teaching, family-contact or AI access.
  8. Operations accounts can hold attendance roles, payroll roles or both. Payroll roles are granted only by Super Admins; they never grant attendance approval or account management. Only a Super Admin can manage an identity with current payroll access.
