How AI tutoring works: chat, clues and correctness

Look for: AI tutor

1. Open AI tutor and choose an activity already started, or open the tutor beside an assigned question. Start assigned work first if no activity is listed.
2. Type a question and send, or use Explain the question / Build my foundation with AI. The tutor receives relevant course/question context, reviewed teaching guidance, support languages and bounded recent learning/conversation context.
3. Guide mode gives a small clue and asks for the next step. Only authorised staff can enable Solve mode for worked solutions; an admin override wins.
4. A coloured thinking graphic shows preparation and checking. Text replies use a separate AI correctness check before display. Checked text can then be spoken using generated or device audio.
5. AI can still make mistakes. If it refers to the wrong numbers or contradicts a rule, stop, show the teacher the question and reply, and use verified course material.
6. The free-form homework question form labelled Send a new homework question to my teacher goes to teacher help. It is distinct from the paid AI conversation beside an activity.
