AI not working or the message box is disabled

Check setup, eligibility, limits and provider status.

For: Student, Teacher, Centre Manager, Super Admin

  1. Student: read the setup message near the AI tutor and ask your teacher. Open an active assigned activity; the general homework-to-teacher form is not the AI chat box.
  2. Teacher: check course placement/plan, current published work, the learner AI switch, consent reference/expiry and any required document.
  3. Manager: check centre text tutoring, provider credits/key, pause status, pricing review expiry, shared/text/child budgets, request counts and remaining learning time.
  4. If a reply remains preparing, note the time and exact error for the operator. A worker/provider failure needs attention; repeated submissions can create extra charges.
