Sign in, authenticators and passwords

1. Enter the centre code, username and password supplied by your centre. User codes are not the same as class names.
2. After a successful sign-in, including any required authenticator check, the browser remembers the centre, even after signing out. It keeps up to five centres. Next time, choose one under Choose a centre used in this browser, or type another centre code.
3. If a Centre Manager allows your role, the code screen shows Remember my username in this browser. It is ticked only when your own account's username is already saved. A saved username stops filling in if that account is renamed or blocked. Tick it to save your username for that centre, or untick it to remove it. Signing in without ticking never replaces someone else's saved username. Use it only on your own device. Forget centres and usernames saved in this browser clears everything straight away without signing in.
4. On first setup, scan the QR code with an authenticator app and enter its current code. Later, enter a code from an enrolled authenticator.
5. Login & authenticators lets a fully authenticated user add another authenticator, verify it and remove an old device. Keep a working authenticator before removing one.
6. Use Password at the top or Change password in the menu. Enter your current password and the new password twice; the new password needs at least 12 characters. Other sessions are revoked.
7. Sign out on shared devices. Sign-in expires after two hours of inactivity and at the separate eight-hour maximum; this differs from learning minutes and live-call limits.
8. Teacher-assisted student access allows study but cannot change passwords, authenticators or registered email. Forgot password appears only when a Super Admin enables recovery and configures email delivery; it still requires the authenticator after reset.
