Remember a personal device for sign-in

Look for: Sign-in settings

1. A Centre Manager or Super Admin opens Sign-in settings for the selected centre. Enable remembered devices, choose 1 to 90 days and save. The feature starts disabled; the suggested duration is seven days. Teachers and students cannot change this policy.
2. A Centre Manager or Super Admin can also choose which roles may save their username in Sign-in settings → Remember usernames. The roles are Students, Teachers, Centre Managers and Super Admins, and Attendance and payroll staff. Every role starts off; leave roles that share devices off. Saving this does not cancel remembered devices, and turning a role off hides its saved usernames straight away.
3. Sign in with your password and authenticator. On the code screen, choose Remember this device and optionally name it. Use a personal device. First-time accounts must complete their required password change before opting in on their next sign-in.
4. On later visits in that browser, choose or type the centre, check the username and enter your password. Remember my username in this browser is a separate choice on the code screen. A valid remembered device skips the authenticator step. Its expiry does not extend with use. Sign out still closes the current session; it keeps your chosen device preference.
5. Two-hour inactivity and eight-hour maximum session limits still apply. Teacher-issued student access codes do not enrol a remembered device. Password-only access to a different account or centre never inherits this permission.
6. Open Login & authenticators and choose Forget device to remove trust. Password, account-access or authenticator changes invalidate affected devices. Saving the centre policy invalidates previous remembered devices. A missing browser cookie also requires normal authenticator sign-in.
7. Permanent deletion, centre operations and authenticator changes still ask for fresh authentication. Switching centres from a remembered sign-in requires your current password and a fresh code on Switch centre. Changing your password from a remembered sign-in asks you to sign in again afterwards.

Remembering a device does not grant roles
